Description

Apply a supplied coupon fraction only to an eligible basket portion.

Campaign bookkeeping distinguishes actual records from supplied rules, discounts, retention assumptions and spending periods. Sequential discounts compound on changing bases, while an adstock update depends on a declared period and retention factor. A click flag or local score term does not establish consent, causal response or financial performance.

Apply a supplied coupon fraction only to an eligible basket portion.

When to use this tool

Use Coupon Redemption Net Basket Base when you already have basketAmount, excludedAmount, suppliedCouponFraction and need to apply a supplied coupon fraction only to an eligible basket portion.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter basketAmount, excludedAmount, suppliedCouponFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read eligibleBasket, couponAmount, netBasket. Use the output convention below.

Require basket>=0, excluded amount within basket and coupon fraction in [0,1]; eligible=basket-excluded, coupon=eligible*fraction and net=basket-coupon.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Exclusions and fraction are assumptions; no product eligibility, tax, stacking rule or actual checkout price is determined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review original campaign events, offer terms and financial records for actual charges and statuses. Fit and validate a complete model when estimating response or retention; one supplied rule, price delta or pacing term does not provide that evidence.
