Description
Measure a renewal price's signed difference from an introductory price.
Campaign bookkeeping distinguishes actual records from supplied rules, discounts, retention assumptions and spending periods. Sequential discounts compound on changing bases, while an adstock update depends on a declared period and retention factor. A click flag or local score term does not establish consent, causal response or financial performance.
Measure a renewal price's signed difference from an introductory price.
When to use this tool
Use Introductory Price Renewal Delta when you already have introductoryPrice, renewalPrice and need to measure a renewal price's signed difference from an introductory price.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter introductoryPrice, renewalPrice. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read signedGap. Use the output convention below.

} Limitations and assumptions
- Signed prices are allowed; no advertised terms, actual charge, contract validity or purchase recommendation is established.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review original campaign events, offer terms and financial records for actual charges and statuses. Fit and validate a complete model when estimating response or retention; one supplied rule, price delta or pacing term does not provide that evidence.
