Description
Floor audience × firstFraction for first and assign the remainder to second.
Weights, counts, and capacities determine an allocation only under a chosen normalization and rounding policy. A conserved total does not establish fairness or suitability.
Floor audience × firstFraction for first and assign the remainder to second.
When to use this tool
Use Campaign Test Cell Allocation Rounding when you need one explicit allocation or weight-change calculation.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter audience, firstFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read first, second, roundingError. Use the output convention below.
Floor audience × firstFraction for first and assign the remainder to second. Return first minus its unrounded target as roundingError.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| audience | Audience | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| firstFraction | First Fraction | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| first | First | Required. Safe integer. |
| second | Second | Required. Safe integer. |
| roundingError | Rounding Error | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This is deterministic count allocation, not random assignment, stratification, or an experimental power calculation.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
