Supplier Case Pack Break Fee Per Unit

Allocate an explicit case-break fee over a supplied positive count of units without selecting supplier terms.

Description

Allocate a supplied case-pack break fee per unit.

Supply-chain counts distinguish individual units, case packs, dispatches, receipts, in-transit stock and returns. A signed residual can expose an inconsistent record rather than prove physical loss. Costs, clearances and expiry/retest dates use separate conventions; accurate arithmetic does not replace stock inspection, material release or contractual review.

Allocate a supplied case-pack break fee per unit.

When to use this tool

Use Supplier Case Pack Break Fee Per Unit when you already have suppliedBreakFee, unitsInBrokenPack and need to allocate a supplied case-pack break fee per unit.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter suppliedBreakFee, unitsInBrokenPack. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read feePerUnit. Use the output convention below.

Require fee>=0 and safe whole unitsInBrokenPack>=1; return fee/units.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The fee and allocation basis are caller inputs; no supplier contract, billing policy or actual charge is determined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile item-level dispatch, receipt, return and inventory ledgers against physical stock and lot records. Use actual package dimensions, handling plans and release documents when a quantity margin alone cannot answer an operational question.
