Reverse Logistics Refundable Core Value

Apply a supplied per-core refund to explicitly accepted returned cores without deciding acceptance criteria.

Description

Calculate a core-return refund from the supplied accepted count.

Supply-chain counts distinguish individual units, case packs, dispatches, receipts, in-transit stock and returns. A signed residual can expose an inconsistent record rather than prove physical loss. Costs, clearances and expiry/retest dates use separate conventions; accurate arithmetic does not replace stock inspection, material release or contractual review.

Calculate a core-return refund from the supplied accepted count.

When to use this tool

Use Reverse Logistics Refundable Core Value when you already have returnedCoreCount, acceptedCoreCount, suppliedRefundPerCore and need to calculate a core-return refund from the supplied accepted count.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter returnedCoreCount, acceptedCoreCount, suppliedRefundPerCore. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read refundableAmount, unacceptedCount. Use the output convention below.

Require safe whole returned count>=0 and accepted count within returns, plus refundPerCore>=0; return accepted*refund and returned-accepted.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Acceptance and price are assumptions; warranty, ownership, actual inspection and refund entitlement are not verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile item-level dispatch, receipt, return and inventory ledgers against physical stock and lot records. Use actual package dimensions, handling plans and release documents when a quantity margin alone cannot answer an operational question.
