Outbound Order Pick Complete Flag

Compare explicit required and picked quantities line by line without checking item identity or shipping an order.

Description

Check per-line picking completeness and separate shortfall from excess.

Supply-chain counts distinguish individual units, case packs, dispatches, receipts, in-transit stock and returns. A signed residual can expose an inconsistent record rather than prove physical loss. Costs, clearances and expiry/retest dates use separate conventions; accurate arithmetic does not replace stock inspection, material release or contractual review.

Check per-line picking completeness and separate shortfall from excess.

When to use this tool

Use Outbound Order Pick Complete Flag when you already have requiredLineCounts, pickedLineCounts and need to check per-line picking completeness and separate shortfall from excess.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter requiredLineCounts, pickedLineCounts. Follow any array-alignment requirements below. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read complete, shortfallByLine, excessByLine. Inspect complete before interpreting the associated values.

Require aligned arrays of nonnegative safe whole required/picked counts. Return positive parts of required-picked and picked-required; complete means every shortfall is zero.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • An empty order is complete by convention, and excess picks still allow complete=true; item identity, quality and authorization are not checked.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile item-level dispatch, receipt, return and inventory ledgers against physical stock and lot records. Use actual package dimensions, handling plans and release documents when a quantity margin alone cannot answer an operational question.
