Description
Return that weightSum and divide every weight by it.
Weights express relative contributions. Dividing by their total creates weights that sum to one when the total is positive, but it does not establish that the original weighting scheme is suitable for the decision.
Return that weightSum and divide every weight by it.
When to use this tool
Use Weighted Mean Weight Normalizer when you need to normalize or inspect a supplied collection of nonnegative weights.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter weights. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read normalizedWeights, weightSum. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative weights with a positive finite sum. Return that weightSum and divide every weight by it.1

| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |

| normalizedWeights | Normalized Weights | Required. Array of finite number; maximum items 256. |
| weightSum | Weight Sum | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- An empty or all-zero vector is rejected; the tool does not validate a sampling design, infer probabilities, or compute a weighted mean.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
