Rheumatology Result Censoring Tag

Format an explicit censored rheumatology result without assigning a point value or clinical threshold.

Description

Label a rheumatology result with a supplied censoring comparator and unit.

Rheumatology records distinguish observed findings, unassessed joints, anatomical chart labels and instrument/source versions. A not-assessed state differs from an assessed negative finding, while a censored laboratory value differs from an exact measurement. Durations and labels retain their source conventions and do not themselves constitute a diagnosis or disease-activity score.

Label a rheumatology result with a supplied censoring comparator and unit.

When to use this tool

Use Rheumatology Result Censoring Tag when you already have resultId, comparison, boundaryValue, unitText and need to label a rheumatology result with a supplied censoring comparator and unit.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter resultId, comparison, boundaryValue, unitText. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read label. Use the output convention below.

Require nonempty resultId/unitText and comparison <, <=, > or >=; concatenate comparator and signed boundaryValue into the label.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • No quantitative value is imputed and no laboratory reference interval or clinical threshold is selected.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the original chart, instrument version and laboratory reporting convention for substantive interpretation. Preserve unassessed findings and censoring separately from recorded negatives and exact values; a local label or duration conversion does not assemble a disease-activity assessment.
