Description
Attach a supplied signal-quality code to an oximetry record.
Respiratory records distinguish signal markers, gas-reference bases, collection validity codes and selected prediction equations. A supplied interval or zero subtraction is only one part of a measurement workflow. Unit labels and device-use discrepancies do not validate a maneuver, estimate a disease state or determine appropriate medication use.
Attach a supplied signal-quality code to an oximetry record.
When to use this tool
Use Oximetry Signal Quality Label when you already have recordId, recordedQualityCode, source and need to attach a supplied signal-quality code to an oximetry record.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter recordId, recordedQualityCode, source. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read label. Use the output convention below.
Require nonempty recordId/qualityCode/source; JSON-quote the code in the formatted label.1

"input": {
"recordId": "O17",
"recordedQualityCode": "artifact",
"source": "Device A"
},
"output": {
"label": "O17; quality=\"artifact\" [Device A]"

} Limitations and assumptions
- No signal, saturation, artifact or clinical reliability is assessed.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review the original respiratory trace, acquisition protocol and reference-equation definition when interpreting a test. Keep gas-reference bases and supplied quality codes explicit; a zero subtraction, interval or counter discrepancy does not validate the complete measurement.
