Description

Summarize independently marked valid signed bench gap samples without judging clinical fit.

Dental laboratory and prosthetic research records distinguish measured dimensions, reference targets, material quantities, and evidence flags. Ratios and residuals depend on those measurement conventions. An idealized bench term or metadata match is separate from fabrication quality and clinical fit or suitability.

Summarize independently marked valid signed bench gap samples without judging clinical fit.

When to use this tool

Use Prosthesis Fit Gap Sample when you need the stated laboratory, bench, geometry, or device-record term from already supplied measurements or annotations.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter gaps, valid. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read meanGap, validCount, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Select gaps with valid flags and return their mean, validCount, and defined. An empty selected list returns meanGap zero with defined false; arrays must align.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The validity flags and gap sign convention are supplied. A placeholder zero is not evidence of perfect fit, and no clinical threshold or treatment decision is applied.
  • The field tables state structural bounds; the mechanics also specify cross-field constraints. Malformed inputs and unsupported domains cause errors. A successful false flag, empty branch value, or zero placeholder has the meaning stated above and is distinct from an input error.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use calibrated measurements and an appropriate complete geometric, material, or laboratory method when the task requires more than one bench term. Clinical suitability requires a separate professional assessment.
