Description
Split weight into transferred and retained portions.
Quorum, veto, delegation, and limit checks apply declared organizational rules to supplied records. Numeric consistency is separate from establishing actual authority or valid procedure.
Split weight into transferred and retained portions.
When to use this tool
Use Vote Transfer Ballot Weight when you need a reproducible check against explicit governance inputs.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter currentWeight, transferFraction. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read transferredWeight, retainedWeight. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative currentWeight and transferFraction in [0, 1]. Split weight into transferred and retained portions.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| currentWeight | Current Weight | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| transferFraction | Transfer Fraction | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| transferredWeight | Transferred Weight | Required. Finite number. |
| retainedWeight | Retained Weight | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This applies a supplied transfer fraction without implementing an election count, quota rule, or legally valid ballot transfer.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
