Description
For nonnegative area and positive referenceArea, referenceConcentration, responseFactor, and sampleDilution return areaRatio=area/referenceArea and correctedConcentration=area*referenceConcentration*sampleDilution/(referenceArea*responseFactor).
Botanical laboratory records distinguish wet mass, dry matter, carriers, extract mass, and assay response. A fraction or reference comparison depends on the chosen material basis and supplied analytical method. Voucher and monograph metadata help identify records but do not themselves authenticate a specimen or establish product quality.
For nonnegative area and positive referenceArea, referenceConcentration, responseFactor, and sampleDilution return areaRatio=area/referenceArea and correctedConcentration=area*referenceConcentration*sampleDilution/(referenceArea*responseFactor).
When to use this tool
Use Pharmacognosy HPLC Onepeak Reference Ratio when you need this mass-basis, assay-response, extraction, or source-record calculation for supplied laboratory data.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter area, referenceArea, referenceConcentration, responseFactor, sampleDilution. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read areaRatio, correctedConcentration. Use the output convention below.
For nonnegative area and positive referenceArea, referenceConcentration, responseFactor, and sampleDilution return areaRatio=area/referenceArea and correctedConcentration=area*referenceConcentration*sampleDilution/(referenceArea*responseFactor).1

} Limitations and assumptions
- Peak areas need a comparable detector scale and responseFactor is a supplied dimensionless relative response. One-point scaling does not validate peak identity, calibration linearity, extraction recovery, or medicinal safety.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use the appropriate authenticated reference material, analytical protocol, and source records for a full laboratory assessment. Verify moisture basis, response factors, and extract/carrier definitions before comparing results.
