Chromatographic Marker Response Gap Tool

Calculate chromatographic marker response gap from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Return corrected=measuredResponse-blankResponse and residual=corrected-referenceResponse.

Botanical laboratory records distinguish wet mass, dry matter, carriers, extract mass, and assay response. A fraction or reference comparison depends on the chosen material basis and supplied analytical method. Voucher and monograph metadata help identify records but do not themselves authenticate a specimen or establish product quality.

Return corrected=measuredResponse-blankResponse and residual=corrected-referenceResponse.

When to use this tool

Use Chromatographic Marker Response Gap when you need this mass-basis, assay-response, extraction, or source-record calculation for supplied laboratory data.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter measuredResponse, referenceResponse, blankResponse. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read corrected, residual. Use the output convention below.

Return corrected=measuredResponse-blankResponse and residual=corrected-referenceResponse.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Responses need one detector scale. Signed corrected values are retained, and no calibration curve, marker identity, assay acceptance limit, or medicinal-content conclusion is inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Signed zero is exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the appropriate authenticated reference material, analytical protocol, and source records for a full laboratory assessment. Verify moisture basis, response factors, and extract/carrier definitions before comparing results.
