Excystation Protocol Window Audit

Audit recorded bile/trypsin or other excystation-stage exposure durations against caller-supplied protocol windows.

Description

An excystation protocol audit compares each stage’s observed exposure with its permitted duration window.

An excystation protocol audit compares each stage’s observed exposure with its permitted duration window. The windows must come from the protocol being evaluated.

The tool returns outsideWindowStages (outside window stages); protocolWindowsMet (protocol windows met). Input measurements and model parameters are supplied by the caller; the tool computes the stated summary rather than acquiring those measurements.

When to use Excystation Protocol Window Audit

Use Excystation Protocol Window Audit when you already have stageNames, exposureMinutes, minimumMinutes, maximumMinutes and want outsideWindowStages, protocolWindowsMet. This is useful for checking a supplied calculation, documenting a measurement convention, or comparing observations prepared on the same basis.

How to use Excystation Protocol Window Audit and understand its results

  1. Enter stageNames, exposureMinutes, minimumMinutes, maximumMinutes using the field table below. Match the units, ordering and data boundaries described in the calculation.
  2. Run the tool after checking the stated bounds and matching paired observations or categories. A malformed request gives a tool error rather than a usable measurement.
  3. Read outsideWindowStages, protocolWindowsMet. Use the calculation and interpretation below to distinguish amounts, ratios, signs and decision flags where applicable.
  4. Review the supplied parameters and assumptions before using the result in a report or comparing it with another observation.

Validate distinct stage labels and aligned duration lists with nonnegative minimums and ordered bounds. Return stages outside the window; both endpoints are allowed.

outside = exposure < minimum OR exposure > maximum

The symbols refer to the supplied quantities or generated values described above; unit conversions and comparison boundaries follow the stated implementation.

Limitations and assumptions

Passing the duration audit does not verify reagents, temperature, organism viability or biological success. The calculator does not choose a protocol.

Numerical inputs must be finite. The tool checks its declared input shape and calculation constraints; those checks do not verify the quality, calibration or representativeness of the supplied observations.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Culture Passage Sequence Audit: Audit culture-passage numbering and chronological order against a supplied increment. Miracidium Hatching Duration: Summarize observed miracidium hatching delays after a supplied water-exposure start time.
