Culture Passage Sequence Audit

Audit culture-passage numbering and chronological order against a supplied increment.

Description

Culture-passage records describe a sequence of passage numbers and observation days.

Culture-passage records describe a sequence of passage numbers and observation days. A consistency audit checks numbering increments and chronological progress.

The tool returns invalidTransitionIndexes (invalid transition indexes); validSequence (valid sequence). Input measurements and model parameters are supplied by the caller; the tool computes the stated summary rather than acquiring those measurements.

When to use Culture Passage Sequence Audit

Use Culture Passage Sequence Audit when you already have passageNumbers, passageDays, expectedIncrement and want invalidTransitionIndexes, validSequence. This is useful for checking a supplied calculation, documenting a measurement convention, or comparing observations prepared on the same basis.

How to use Culture Passage Sequence Audit and understand its results

  1. Enter passageNumbers, passageDays, expectedIncrement using the field table below. Match the units, ordering and data boundaries described in the calculation.
  2. Run the tool after checking the stated bounds and matching paired observations or categories. A malformed request gives a tool error rather than a usable measurement.
  3. Read invalidTransitionIndexes, validSequence. Use the calculation and interpretation below to distinguish amounts, ratios, signs and decision flags where applicable.
  4. Review the supplied parameters and assumptions before using the result in a report or comparing it with another observation.
Input fieldMeaningValue type and boundsRequirement
passageNumbersPassage numberslist of numberRequired
passageDaysPassage dayslist of numberRequired
expectedIncrementExpected incrementintegerRequired

Use aligned nonempty nonnegative integer lists and a positive integer expected increment. Return zero-based indexes of the later record in each invalid transition.

bad transition i = (passage[i] − passage[i−1] ≠ expectedIncrement) OR (day[i] ≤ day[i−1])

The symbols refer to the supplied quantities or generated values described above; unit conversions and comparison boundaries follow the stated implementation.

Limitations and assumptions

A single record has no transition and passes this audit. The tool cannot establish culture quality, contamination status or correct missing records.

Numerical inputs must be finite. The tool checks its declared input shape and calculation constraints; those checks do not verify the quality, calibration or representativeness of the supplied observations.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Excystation Protocol Window Audit: Audit recorded bile/trypsin or other excystation-stage exposure durations against caller-supplied protocol windows. Control Component Compliance: Audit reported completion of caller-defined integrated parasite-control components.
