Insecticide Resistance Bioassay Knockdown KD60 Minutes Threshold Checker

Screen observed KD60 knockdown fraction, distinct from 24-hour mortality and KDT50; not a resistance diagnosis.

Description

Screen observed KD60 knockdown fraction, distinct from 24-hour mortality and KDT50; not a resistance diagnosis.

A knockdown fraction at a specified assay time can be compared with a caller-selected minimum. That threshold screen is different from confirming insecticide resistance.

When to use this tool

Screen observed KD60 knockdown fraction, distinct from 24-hour mortality and KDT50; not a resistance diagnosis.

  • Prepare the supplied knockedDownAt60Minutes, exposedCount, callerMinimumFraction fields for this operation.
  • Compare the complete example with the representation used by your own input before carrying the result into another step.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter knockedDownAt60Minutes, exposedCount, callerMinimumFraction. Use the exact text syntax, units and index conventions explained below.
  2. Run the tool. If input validation fails, correct the supplied fields before interpreting any result.
  3. Read result.fractionAt60, result.atOrAboveCallerThreshold, result.resistanceConfirmed. Interpret false, null and empty lists using the distinctions below; they can be valid outputs.

Validate knockedDownAt60Minutes within positive exposedCount and callerMinimumFraction within zero through one. Return the count fraction, whether it is at least the supplied threshold, and resistanceConfirmed false.1

Input fieldMeaning and representationAccepted input
knockedDownAt60MinutesObserved subset count used as the numerator.Nonnegative safe integer, no greater than exposedCount
exposedCountObserved total count used as the denominator.Positive safe integer, at least knockedDownAt60Minutes
callerMinimumFractioncaller minimum fraction.Finite number; from zero through one inclusive
Output fieldInterpretation
resultObject containing the named outputs below.
result.fractionAt60The fraction at60 value under the stated formula or text convention.
result.atOrAboveCallerThresholdFlag for at or above caller threshold under the exact condition described above.
result.resistanceConfirmedAlways false: the threshold screen does not independently confirm resistance.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The tool does not observe a sixty-minute assay, calculate mortality or establish an accepted resistance criterion. Control outcomes, recovery and experimental design are not evaluated.
  • Every declared top-level field is required and unexpected fields are rejected. Numeric inputs must be finite; ordinary text fields are bounded to 8,192 UTF-16 code units, with tighter operation-specific limits where stated.
  • Ordinary string lists have at most 128 entries of at most 128 code units each; numeric lists and matrices have separate bounded size checks. Nonfinite results and excessively large serialized outputs are rejected.
  • Indexes are zero-based and spans have an exclusive end unless explicitly stated otherwise. A valid false, null or empty-list result is distinct from malformed input.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Combine recorded observations with a validated method, appropriate controls and the complete specimen context. Use original qualified references when reviewing species, stages or product information; a supplied-record match, sample ratio or historical flag is only the stated piece of evidence.
