FECRT Resistance Threshold Under 95 Percent Flag Checker

Retain observed FECRT point and lower-bound evidence against historical 95/90 screens; not a current species/protocol resistance diagnosis.

Description

Retain observed FECRT point and lower-bound evidence against historical 95/90 screens; not a current species/protocol resistance diagnosis.

A fecal egg-count reduction screen can compare a supplied estimate and confidence bound with historical thresholds. The estimate, uncertainty and actual resistance conclusion remain separate.

When to use this tool

Retain observed FECRT point and lower-bound evidence against historical 95/90 screens; not a current species/protocol resistance diagnosis.

  • Prepare the supplied observedReductionPercent, lowerConfidenceBoundPercent, lowerBoundKnown fields for this operation.
  • Compare the complete example with the representation used by your own input before carrying the result into another step.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter observedReductionPercent, lowerConfidenceBoundPercent, lowerBoundKnown. Use the exact text syntax, units and index conventions explained below.
  2. Run the tool. If input validation fails, correct the supplied fields before interpreting any result.
  3. Read result.belowHistorical95, result.lowerBoundKnown, result.lowerBoundBelow90, result.resistanceConfirmed. Interpret false, null and empty lists using the distinctions below; they can be valid outputs.

Require observedReductionPercent within -1,000,000 through 100 and lowerConfidenceBoundPercent within that lower limit through the observed reduction. Return whether reduction is strictly below 95; when lowerBoundKnown, test whether the bound is strictly below 90, otherwise return null for that test. Always set resistanceConfirmed false.1

Input fieldMeaning and representationAccepted input
observedReductionPercentobserved reduction percent.Finite number
lowerConfidenceBoundPercentlower confidence bound percent.Finite number
lowerBoundKnownExplicit choice for lower bound known; supply a boolean rather than a text label.true or false
Output fieldInterpretation
resultObject containing the named outputs below.
result.belowHistorical95Flag for below historical95 under the exact condition described above.
result.lowerBoundKnownFlag for lower bound known under the exact condition described above.
result.lowerBoundBelow90Flag for lower bound below90 under the exact condition described above.
result.resistanceConfirmedAlways false: the threshold screen does not independently confirm resistance.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The tool does not calculate reduction or a confidence interval and does not implement every current guideline. Even an unknown bound must be numerically valid; historical flags do not confirm resistance or select treatment.
  • Every declared top-level field is required and unexpected fields are rejected. Numeric inputs must be finite; ordinary text fields are bounded to 8,192 UTF-16 code units, with tighter operation-specific limits where stated.
  • Ordinary string lists have at most 128 entries of at most 128 code units each; numeric lists and matrices have separate bounded size checks. Nonfinite results and excessively large serialized outputs are rejected.
  • Indexes are zero-based and spans have an exclusive end unless explicitly stated otherwise. A valid false, null or empty-list result is distinct from malformed input.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Combine recorded observations with a validated method, appropriate controls and the complete specimen context. Use original qualified references when reviewing species, stages or product information; a supplied-record match, sample ratio or historical flag is only the stated piece of evidence.
