Description
Measure a signed eye-marker offset from a head marker.
ENT records use explicit laterality, event markers, sampling clocks, collection volumes and anatomical/source labels. A rate or point resistance needs compatible units, while video timing depends on frame-rate assumptions. These local measurements and records do not detect a clinical event, assess airway function or choose treatment.
Measure a signed eye-marker offset from a head marker.
When to use this tool
Use Vestibular Head Eye Time Offset when you already have headMarkerSeconds, eyeMarkerSeconds and need to measure a signed eye-marker offset from a head marker.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter headMarkerSeconds, eyeMarkerSeconds. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read eyeMinusHeadSeconds. Use the output convention below.
Return eyeMarkerSeconds-headMarkerSeconds.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| headMarkerSeconds | Head Marker Seconds | Required. Finite number. |
| eyeMarkerSeconds | Eye Marker Seconds | Required. Finite number. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| eyeMinusHeadSeconds | Eye Minus Head Seconds | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Timestamps are supplied; no vestibular response, latency validity, calibration or clinical interpretation is inferred.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Review the original signal, collection protocol and video acquisition timing for the actual measurement. Preserve supplied side and site sources; a local volume/time rate, frame offset or point ratio does not replace a complete functional assessment.
