Description
Link explicit publication notices without retrieving or adjudicating them.
Evidence review distinguishes reporting completeness, source identity, timing, comparator descriptions, and the validity of a clinical claim. Matching metadata or calculating an interval cannot establish study quality or treatment efficacy. Measurement and protocol conventions need to remain explicit before records are compared.
Link explicit publication notices without retrieving or adjudicating them.
When to use this tool
Use Osteopathic Evidence Retraction Parent Pair when you need this specific evidence-record, measurement, interval, comparator, or protocol check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter citationId, noticeTarget, noticeType, supersedingId. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read targetsCitation, retracted, corrected, supersedingPresent. Inspect targetsCitation, retracted, corrected, supersedingPresent before interpreting the associated values.
Accept noticeType as retraction, correction, or expression-of-concern. Return targetsCitation on exact citationId/noticeTarget equality, retracted or corrected only for the matching type and target, and supersedingPresent when supersedingId is nonempty.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| citationId | Citation Id | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| noticeTarget | Notice Target | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| noticeType | Notice Type | Required. Text; one of "retraction", "correction", "expression-of-concern"; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| supersedingId | Superseding Id | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| targetsCitation | Targets Citation | Required. Boolean. |
| retracted | Retracted | Required. Boolean. |
| corrected | Corrected | Required. Boolean. |
| supersedingPresent | Nonempty supersedingId only; no replacement-source verification. | Required. Boolean. |

"supersedingId": ""
},
"output": {
"targetsCitation": true,

} Limitations and assumptions
- An expression of concern sets neither retracted nor corrected. Source notices and IDs are supplied rather than verified; a nonempty superseding ID does not validate replacement evidence or establish a study's clinical credibility.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use a substantive source and study appraisal for clinical claims. Verify methods, preregistration, reporting, comparator conditions, and measurement validity beyond matching labels or calculated completeness.
