Description

Preserve quotation and source annotations without endorsing the quoted claim.

Evidence review distinguishes reporting completeness, source identity, timing, comparator descriptions, and the validity of a clinical claim. Matching metadata or calculating an interval cannot establish study quality or treatment efficacy. Measurement and protocol conventions need to remain explicit before records are compared.

Preserve quotation and source annotations without endorsing the quoted claim.

When to use this tool

Use Claim Quotation Attribution Token when you need this specific evidence-record, measurement, interval, comparator, or protocol check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter quote, attributedSource, sourceKnown. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read attributionComplete, quotedText, source. Inspect attributionComplete before interpreting the associated values.

Return attributionComplete when sourceKnown=true and attributedSource has nonblank trimmed text. Preserve quote as quotedText and the original attributedSource as source.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The presence flag does not authenticate a quotation, match it to a source, establish author attribution, confirm reuse rights, or endorse the quoted claim. No source content is fetched or interpreted.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use a substantive source and study appraisal for clinical claims. Verify methods, preregistration, reporting, comparator conditions, and measurement validity beyond matching labels or calculated completeness.
