Description

Matched research measurement sums only; target selection, missing lesions and formal response rules are not inferred.

Research lesion records distinguish measured dimensions, geometric size models, censoring conventions, assessment denominators, and follow-up timing. An axis product, percent change, or coverage measure describes only its stated inputs and model. Such arithmetic does not automatically implement a clinical response criterion or validate a study.

Matched research measurement sums only; target selection, missing lesions and formal response rules are not inferred.

When to use this tool

Use Oncology Study Measurement Sum Delta when you need this research measurement, assessment-base, source, or event-time calculation.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter baseline, followup. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read baselineSum, followupSum, sumChange, relativeChange. Use the output convention below.

Require aligned nonempty nonnegative baseline and followup measurement arrays and positive baseline sum. Return baselineSum, followupSum, sumChange=followupSum-baselineSum, and relativeChange=followupSum/baselineSum-1.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Measurements need one unit and matching lesion definitions. RelativeChange is a fraction, not a percent numeral; the sum does not establish lesion correspondence, formal response status, progression, or treatment suitability.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the intended study protocol and a complete measurement or analysis model for a broader conclusion. Verify lesion definitions, censoring, measurement correspondence, time anchors, and missing-assessment policy.
