Description
For nonnegative measured and reference and positive quantum return difference=measured-reference and quantumSteps=difference/quantum.
Research lesion records distinguish measured dimensions, geometric size models, censoring conventions, assessment denominators, and follow-up timing. An axis product, percent change, or coverage measure describes only its stated inputs and model. Such arithmetic does not automatically implement a clinical response criterion or validate a study.
For nonnegative measured and reference and positive quantum return difference=measured-reference and quantumSteps=difference/quantum.
When to use this tool
Use Lesion Measurement Resolution Gap when you need this research measurement, assessment-base, source, or event-time calculation.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter measured, reference, quantum. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read difference, quantumSteps. Use the output convention below.

} Limitations and assumptions
- Use one length unit. QuantumSteps may be fractional and no rounding or uncertainty calculation occurs; the result does not validate a measurement protocol, lesion size, or clinical significance.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use the intended study protocol and a complete measurement or analysis model for a broader conclusion. Verify lesion definitions, censoring, measurement correspondence, time anchors, and missing-assessment policy.
