Description

Signed report-delay interval from a supplied uncertain onset-time window, without an adverse-event or clinical interpretation.

Research lesion records distinguish measured dimensions, geometric size models, censoring conventions, assessment denominators, and follow-up timing. An axis product, percent change, or coverage measure describes only its stated inputs and model. Such arithmetic does not automatically implement a clinical response criterion or validate a study.

Signed report-delay interval from a supplied uncertain onset-time window, without an adverse-event or clinical interpretation.

When to use this tool

Use Oncology Event Onset Report Delay when you need this research measurement, assessment-base, source, or event-time calculation.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter onsetLower, onsetUpper, reportTime. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read minimumDelay, maximumDelay, midpointDelay, reportedBeforePossibleOnset. Inspect reportedBeforePossibleOnset before interpreting the associated values.

For onsetUpper>=onsetLower return minimumDelay=reportTime-onsetUpper, maximumDelay=reportTime-onsetLower, midpointDelay=reportTime-(onsetLower+onsetUpper)/2, and reportedBeforePossibleOnset=(reportTime<onsetLower).1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Times need one unit and origin. Negative delays are retained and the midpoint is an arithmetic convention, not a known onset time; reporting quality, causality, and clinical event status are not adjudicated.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the intended study protocol and a complete measurement or analysis model for a broader conclusion. Verify lesion definitions, censoring, measurement correspondence, time anchors, and missing-assessment policy.
