Description

Account for sampled pixels in supplied disjoint research masks; no lesion detection, staging or prognosis.

Research lesion records distinguish measured dimensions, geometric size models, censoring conventions, assessment denominators, and follow-up timing. An axis product, percent change, or coverage measure describes only its stated inputs and model. Such arithmetic does not automatically implement a clinical response criterion or validate a study.

Account for sampled pixels in supplied disjoint research masks; no lesion detection, staging or prognosis.

When to use this tool

Use Lesion Mask Sampling Share when you need this research measurement, assessment-base, source, or event-time calculation.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter maskPixels, sampledPixels. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read maskTotalDecimal, sampledTotalDecimal, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Require aligned nonnegative integer maskPixels and sampledPixels with sampled<=mask in every row. Sum using exact integers into maskTotalDecimal and sampledTotalDecimal; return share=Number(sampledTotal)/Number(maskTotal) when positive, otherwise zero with defined=false.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input
maskPixelsMask PixelsRequired. Array of safe integer; maximum items 256.
sampledPixelsSampled PixelsRequired. Array of safe integer; maximum items 256.
Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
maskTotalDecimalExact integer sum exported as decimal text.Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
sampledTotalDecimalSampled Total DecimalRequired. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192.
shareFloating-point ratio of the exact totals; not an image-derived coverage result.Required. Finite number.
definedWhether the stated denominator or quantity is defined; inspect before using a placeholder.Required. Boolean.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Totals are exact decimal strings while the ratio uses floating-point conversions. Counts and row alignment are supplied, and no image mask, sampling geometry, tumor classification, or diagnostic coverage is verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use the intended study protocol and a complete measurement or analysis model for a broader conclusion. Verify lesion definitions, censoring, measurement correspondence, time anchors, and missing-assessment policy.
