Description

Total supplied person-minute labor and shared fixed cost for one visit.

Care and training records use task identifiers, source labels, counts, time intervals, observations, and accounting bases. Documentation support, actual delivery, and clinical quality are different questions. A local record rule or budget should be interpreted according to its explicit inclusion and denominator conventions.

Total supplied person-minute labor and shared fixed cost for one visit.

When to use this tool

Use Nursing Visit Two Person Minute Cost when you need this care-record, observation, training, supply, time, or accounting component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter firstMinutes, secondMinutes, firstHourlyCost, secondHourlyCost, sharedFixedCost. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read personMinutes, laborCost, totalCost. Use the output convention below.

For nonnegative first/second minutes and hourly costs and sharedFixedCost return personMinutes as the sum, laborCost=(firstMinutes*firstHourlyCost+secondMinutes*secondHourlyCost)/60, and totalCost=laborCost+sharedFixedCost.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Costs need one currency and hourly rates match minutes through the factor 60. Person-minutes are not elapsed visit minutes; overtime, billing rules, reimbursement, taxes, staffing adequacy, and care quality are not evaluated.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use authenticated records and the intended care, inventory, or training protocol for a full assessment. Verify source support, counting rules, time bases, and any contractual or consent conditions independently.
