Oral Surgery Study Exposure Minute Term Tool

Calculate oral surgery study exposure minute term from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Compute grossPersonMinutes=sum(minutes*participants), require excludedMinutes within that product sum, and return netPersonMinutes=gross-excluded.

Oral laboratory and research records use specimen labels, model coordinates, material quantities, event times, and device identifiers. A matching label or dimensional clearance answers a narrower question than verified anatomy, traceability, or clinical suitability. Source identity, reference frames, and measurement units must remain explicit.

Compute grossPersonMinutes=sum(minutes*participants), require excludedMinutes within that product sum, and return netPersonMinutes=gross-excluded.

When to use this tool

Use Oral Surgery Study Exposure Minute Term when you need this specimen-record, device-label, timing, material, or model-geometry check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter contactMinutes, participants, excludedMinutes. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read grossPersonMinutes, netPersonMinutes. Use the output convention below.

Require aligned nonnegative contactMinutes and nonnegative integer participants. Compute grossPersonMinutes=sum(minutes*participants), require excludedMinutes within that product sum, and return netPersonMinutes=gross-excluded.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Despite its name, excludedMinutes must use person-minutes, matching the aggregate. Repeated or overlapping contacts are not reconciled and participation, exposure quality, study validity, and clinical risk are not determined.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Use authenticated records and the intended laboratory or measurement protocol for the full task. Verify source labels, coordinate frames, calibration, and the limits of the supplied physical model.
