Dialysis Bench Missing Flow Term Tool

Show an explicitly selected constant-flow bench imputation scenario, not a dialysis prescription or adequacy result.

Description

When imputeMissing is true, multiply missingSeconds by suppliedFlow and add it to recordedVolume; otherwise add zero.

A concentration-times-volume term represents an amount, and dividing an amount by time produces a rate. Clearance-like ratios also require compatible reference concentrations.

When imputeMissing is true, multiply missingSeconds by suppliedFlow and add it to recordedVolume; otherwise add zero.

When to use this tool

Use Dialysis Bench Missing Flow Term when you need a research or bench rate from explicit measurements.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter recordedVolume, missingSeconds, suppliedFlow, imputeMissing. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read conditionalVolume, imputedVolume. Use the output convention below.

When imputeMissing is true, multiply missingSeconds by suppliedFlow and add it to recordedVolume; otherwise add zero. Return the imputed amount separately.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Flow must use volume per second. The added quantity is a conditional estimate, not observed delivery or a clinical recommendation.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Check dimensional consistency and measurement provenance, and use a validated domain model for biological interpretation.
