Description
Mark drivenLow when outputLow or externalLow is true.
An electrical level and a logical assertion are different concepts. Active-low signals invert that relationship, while an undriven open-drain node needs a pull-up to establish high.
Mark drivenLow when outputLow or externalLow is true.
When to use this tool
Use GPIO Open Drain Released State when you need a simple GPIO polarity or ideal state interpretation.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter outputLow, externalPullup, externalLow. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read state, drivenLow. Inspect drivenLow before interpreting the associated values.
Mark drivenLow when outputLow or externalLow is true. Otherwise return high when externalPullup is true, or floating when it is false.1

| externalLow | External Low | Required. Boolean. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |

| state | State | Required. Text; maximum UTF-16 length 8192. |
| drivenLow | Driven Low | Required. Boolean. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- This is an ideal open-drain logic model without rise time, leakage, contention, or electrical thresholds.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Check electrical thresholds, pull resistors, timing, and the device's configured mode for the actual circuit.
