Description
Subtract advanced from entered for lost, divide lost by entered for lossFraction, and divide nonnegative cost by advanced.
Marketing rates compare a counted outcome with a declared cohort or exposure base. Reentries, exclusions, and distinct funnel stages can change the denominator substantially.
Subtract advanced from entered for lost, divide lost by entered for lossFraction, and divide nonnegative cost by advanced.
When to use this tool
Use Sales Funnel Stage Loss One Step when you need a transparent cohort or exposure ratio.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter entered, advanced, cost. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read lost, lossFraction, costPerAdvance. Use the output convention below.
Subtract advanced from entered for lost, divide lost by entered for lossFraction, and divide nonnegative cost by advanced.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |

| advanced | Advanced | Required. Safe integer; minimum 1. |
| cost | Cost | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| lost | Lost | Required. Safe integer. |
| lossFraction | Loss Fraction | Required. Finite number. |
| costPerAdvance | Cost Per Advance | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Entered and advanced must both be positive; a zero-advance funnel is rejected rather than assigned an infinite cost.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
