Description
Multiply nonnegative reward by returnedShare in [0, 1] for totalClawback, then subtract priorClawback for additionalDue.
A campaign cost term combines supplied counts, rewards, credits, and prices. Expected counts can be fractional, and net costs can be negative when credits exceed charges.
Multiply nonnegative reward by returnedShare in [0, 1] for totalClawback, then subtract priorClawback for additionalDue.
When to use this tool
Use Referral Return Clawback Term when you need an explicit incentive, fee, or campaign-cost component.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter reward, returnedShare, priorClawback. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read totalClawback, additionalDue. Use the output convention below.
Multiply nonnegative reward by returnedShare in [0, 1] for totalClawback, then subtract priorClawback for additionalDue.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |

| returnedShare | Returned Share | Required. Finite number; minimum 0; maximum 1. |
| priorClawback | Prior Clawback | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| totalClawback | Total Clawback | Required. Finite number. |
| additionalDue | Additional Due | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Negative additionalDue can indicate excess prior recovery; contract terms, rounding, and recovery eligibility are not evaluated.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Reconcile the complete campaign ledger and applicable contractual, tax, and rounding rules before budgeting from a partial term.
