Description

Subtract returned from redeemed for netRedemptions, divide by issued for rate, and multiply by discountPerRedemption for netDiscountCost.

A campaign cost term combines supplied counts, rewards, credits, and prices. Expected counts can be fractional, and net costs can be negative when credits exceed charges.

Subtract returned from redeemed for netRedemptions, divide by issued for rate, and multiply by discountPerRedemption for netDiscountCost.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Counts must satisfy returned ≤ redeemed ≤ issued; timing, duplicate coupons, and accounting treatment are not inferred.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile the complete campaign ledger and applicable contractual, tax, and rounding rules before budgeting from a partial term.
