Description
Sum all observed time and blocked time, then divide blocked time separately by positive observedTime and plannedDuration.
Support indicators describe which recorded observations meet stated completeness or eligibility conditions. Duration-weighted support and distinct-record support use different denominators.
Sum all observed time and blocked time, then divide blocked time separately by positive observedTime and plannedDuration.
When to use this tool
Use Task Blocked Time Share when you need a transparent supported fraction from supplied flags.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter elapsedDurations, blocked, plannedDuration. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read blockedTime, observedTime, observedBlockedShare, plannedBlockedShare. Use the output convention below.
Require aligned nonnegative elapsedDurations and blocked flags. Sum all observed time and blocked time, then divide blocked time separately by positive observedTime and plannedDuration.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| elapsedDurations | Elapsed Durations | Required. Array of finite number; minimum 0; maximum items 256. |
| blocked | Blocked | Required. Array of boolean; maximum items 256. |
| plannedDuration | Planned Duration | Required. Finite number; strictly above 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| blockedTime | Blocked Time | Required. Finite number. |
| observedTime | Observed Time | Required. Finite number. |
| observedBlockedShare | Observed Blocked Share | Required. Finite number. |
| plannedBlockedShare | Planned Blocked Share | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The planned share may exceed one; the two denominators answer different questions and overlapping intervals must already be resolved.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
