Description
Parse strict real YYYY-MM-DD dates at UTC midnight.
Calendar-day differences need real dates and a stated time basis. Fixed clock offsets, supplied working-day lists, and Gregorian date arithmetic answer different questions.

} Limitations and assumptions
- Signed gaps are allowed; time-of-day, local timezone, holidays, and borrowing rules are not modeled.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Use an authoritative calendar and timezone source when holidays, local dates, or civil-time transitions matter.
