Description
Sum taskMinutes, subtract sharedMinutes once for netLaborMinutes, and divide by positive integer operators.
Work-time accounting separates productive time, allowances, overlap, and delays. Changing the allowance denominator or moving work outside downtime changes the interpretation of a calculated time.
Sum taskMinutes, subtract sharedMinutes once for netLaborMinutes, and divide by positive integer operators.
When to use this tool
Use Line Balance Shared Operator Credit when you need one explicit work-element or timing component.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter taskMinutes, sharedMinutes, operators. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read netLaborMinutes, perOperator. Use the output convention below.
Sum taskMinutes, subtract sharedMinutes once for netLaborMinutes, and divide by positive integer operators.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| taskMinutes | Task Minutes | Required. Array of finite number; maximum items 256. |
| sharedMinutes | Shared Minutes | Required. Finite number; minimum 0. |
| operators | Operators | Required. Safe integer; minimum 1. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| netLaborMinutes | Net Labor Minutes | Required. Finite number. |
| perOperator | Per Operator | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Shared minutes must not exceed the summed tasks; equal division is an average rather than a feasible staffing or task-assignment plan.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
