Description
Return total, marginal positive counts, and both divided by the either-positive count.
Immune-assay data can contain raw signals, blanks, gated event counts, dilution labels, and research thresholds. Their units and denominators differ, and arithmetic on supplied values is separate from assay validation or clinical interpretation.
Return total, marginal positive counts, and both divided by the either-positive count.
When to use this tool
Use Immune Research Marker Coexpression Count when you need one transparent research-assay calculation or event-accounting check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter both, firstOnly, secondOnly, neither. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read total, firstPositive, secondPositive, bothOfEither. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative integer both, firstOnly, secondOnly, and neither, with at least one event in the first three groups. Return total, marginal positive counts, and both divided by the either-positive count.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| both | Both | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| firstOnly | First Only | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| secondOnly | Second Only | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| neither | Neither | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| total | Total | Required. Safe integer. |
| firstPositive | First Positive | Required. Safe integer. |
| secondPositive | Second Positive | Required. Safe integer. |
| bothOfEither | Both-positive divided by either-positive; neither is excluded from this denominator. | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- The overlap denominator excludes neither; supplied categories must be disjoint and exhaustive for their intended sample, and no cell identity or biological association is established.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
