Flow Gate Child Parent Share Tool

Compute one explicitly supplied nested research flow-gate share without immune classification.

Description

Return their ratio with defined true when the parent count is positive, otherwise share zero and defined false.

Immune-assay data can contain raw signals, blanks, gated event counts, dilution labels, and research thresholds. Their units and denominators differ, and arithmetic on supplied values is separate from assay validation or clinical interpretation.

Return their ratio with defined true when the parent count is positive, otherwise share zero and defined false.

When to use this tool

Use Flow Gate Child Parent Share when you need one transparent research-assay calculation or event-accounting check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter childEvents, parentEvents. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Require nonnegative integer childEvents no greater than parentEvents. Return their ratio with defined true when the parent count is positive, otherwise share zero and defined false.1

Input fieldMeaning and unitsAccepted input

Output fieldInterpretationReturned shape
shareDimensionless share under the stated denominator and exclusion convention.Required. Finite number.
definedWhether the associated ratio has its required denominator; inspect before using a zero placeholder.Required. Boolean.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The zero share is a placeholder without a denominator; the tool does not verify gate definitions or biological meaning.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review the complete assay protocol, calibration, controls, uncertainty, and appropriate professional interpretation.
