Gated Cell Denominator Share Tool

Audit supplied parent/child gate counts and exclusion overlap without gating data or identifying cell populations.

Description

Subtract excluded parent and child events from their counts, validating nested counts and exclusions.

Immune-assay data can contain raw signals, blanks, gated event counts, dilution labels, and research thresholds. Their units and denominators differ, and arithmetic on supplied values is separate from assay validation or clinical interpretation.

Subtract excluded parent and child events from their counts, validating nested counts and exclusions.

When to use this tool

Use Gated Cell Denominator Share when you need one transparent research-assay calculation or event-accounting check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter childEvents, parentEvents, excludedParentEvents, excludedChildEvents. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read eligibleParent, eligibleChild, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Subtract excluded parent and child events from their counts, validating nested counts and exclusions. Return eligibleChild/eligibleParent when the latter is positive, otherwise share zero and defined false.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Zero is a placeholder when defined is false. This checks supplied event accounting without evaluating gating quality, event identity, or a biological conclusion.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
