Description
Scale blankSpots to stimulatedCells using positive cell counts, subtract for correctedSpots, and return the difference in spot rates multiplied by positive reportCellBase.
Immune-assay data can contain raw signals, blanks, gated event counts, dilution labels, and research thresholds. Their units and denominators differ, and arithmetic on supplied values is separate from assay validation or clinical interpretation.

When to use this tool
Use Elispot Background Percell Count Term when you need one transparent research-assay calculation or event-accounting check.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter stimulatedSpots, blankSpots, stimulatedCells, blankCells, reportCellBase. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read scaledBackground, correctedSpots, perCellBase. Use the output convention below.

} Limitations and assumptions
- Counts are nonnegative integers and corrected values may be negative. This is a background-rate adjustment, not a positivity decision or a validated immune-response assay.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
