Immunoassay Standard Recovery Ratio Tool

Spike recovery from matched concentration-basis observations; dilution and volume changes must already be accounted for.

Description

Subtract unspikedMeasured from spikedMeasured for recovered and divide by positive spikeAdded for recoveryFraction.

Immune-assay data can contain raw signals, blanks, gated event counts, dilution labels, and research thresholds. Their units and denominators differ, and arithmetic on supplied values is separate from assay validation or clinical interpretation.

Subtract unspikedMeasured from spikedMeasured for recovered and divide by positive spikeAdded for recoveryFraction.

When to use this tool

Use Immunoassay Standard Recovery Ratio when you need one transparent research-assay calculation or event-accounting check.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter spikedMeasured, unspikedMeasured, spikeAdded. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read recovered, recoveryFraction. Use the output convention below.

Subtract unspikedMeasured from spikedMeasured for recovered and divide by positive spikeAdded for recoveryFraction.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Values share one amount or concentration basis; negative recovery and recovery above one are retained, without accepting or rejecting assay performance.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods
