Restaurant Table Seating Time Buffer

Compare explicit table-seating time markers with a supplied reset buffer without selecting service standards.

Description

Calculate a seating gap and margin after supplied table-reset minutes.

Hospitality records distinguish seating count, booking category, reset time, package prices and stock flows. A tax fraction based on net differs from a tax share of gross, and a seat count does not prove a usable layout. Supplies, service preferences and dietary allocations need verified operational records.

Calculate a seating gap and margin after supplied table-reset minutes.

When to use this tool

Use Restaurant Table Seating Time Buffer when you already have previousEndMinutes, nextSeatingMinutes, suppliedResetMinutes and need to calculate a seating gap and margin after supplied table-reset minutes.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter previousEndMinutes, nextSeatingMinutes, suppliedResetMinutes. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read gapMinutes, resetMarginMinutes. Use the output convention below.

Require reset minutes>=0; gap=nextSeating-previousEnd and margin=gap-reset.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Negative gaps are retained; no actual seating, cleaning adequacy, booking or suitable reset time is assessed.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile actual reservations, layouts, service preferences, invoices and inventories for operational questions. Apply the full menu, tax and dietary requirements when local counts, buffers or pricing terms cannot establish availability or suitability.
