Minibar Package Unit Price Gap

Compare an explicit minibar pack unit price with a supplied compatible unit price without fetching prices.

Description

Compare a package's per-unit price with a supplied reference price.

Hospitality records distinguish seating count, booking category, reset time, package prices and stock flows. A tax fraction based on net differs from a tax share of gross, and a seat count does not prove a usable layout. Supplies, service preferences and dietary allocations need verified operational records.

Compare a package's per-unit price with a supplied reference price.

When to use this tool

Use Minibar Package Unit Price Gap when you already have packPrice, unitsInPack, suppliedComparisonUnitPrice and need to compare a package's per-unit price with a supplied reference price.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter packPrice, unitsInPack, suppliedComparisonUnitPrice. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read packUnitPrice, unitPriceGap. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative pack/reference prices and positive safe whole unitsInPack; unit=pack/units, gap=unit-reference.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Units, currency and tax basis must match; no menu charge, actual package, consumer entitlement or pricing recommendation is verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile actual reservations, layouts, service preferences, invoices and inventories for operational questions. Apply the full menu, tax and dietary requirements when local counts, buffers or pricing terms cannot establish availability or suitability.
