Booking Channel Fee Net Room Rate Tool

Deduct commission on the rate excluding the supplied tax pass-through, then a fixed fee.

Description

Subtract nonnegative taxPassThrough within grossRate, apply commissionRate in [0, 1] to that base, then subtract commission and nonnegative fixedFee for netRate.

Hospitality charges depend on the unit of service, inclusion rules, deposits, commissions, and tax bases. Operation order can change an amount, while arithmetic alone does not establish contract terms or liability.

Subtract nonnegative taxPassThrough within grossRate, apply commissionRate in [0, 1] to that base, then subtract commission and nonnegative fixedFee for netRate.

When to use this tool

Use Booking Channel Fee Net Room Rate when you need one supplied billing or cost component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter grossRate, commissionRate, fixedFee, taxPassThrough. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read commission, netRate. Use the output convention below.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Amounts share one currency; negative net rates are retained and the inputs do not establish tax obligations, channel terms, or profit after other costs.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile the result with booking terms, actual invoice rules, taxes, and monetary rounding.
