Banquet Meal Diet Count Remainder

Subtract explicitly nonoverlapping diet-meal allocations from a banquet total, retaining over-allocation as a negative remainder.

Description

Calculate meal count remaining after separately allocated dietary meal counts.

Hospitality records distinguish seating count, booking category, reset time, package prices and stock flows. A tax fraction based on net differs from a tax share of gross, and a seat count does not prove a usable layout. Supplies, service preferences and dietary allocations need verified operational records.

Calculate meal count remaining after separately allocated dietary meal counts.

When to use this tool

Use Banquet Meal Diet Count Remainder when you already have totalMeals, separatelyAllocatedDietMeals and need to calculate meal count remaining after separately allocated dietary meal counts.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter totalMeals, separatelyAllocatedDietMeals. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read remainingMeals. Use the output convention below.

Require nonnegative safe whole total and each allocation; subtract the BigInt allocation sum and export a safe integer.1

totalMealsTotal MealsRequired. Safe integer; minimum 0.
separatelyAllocatedDietMealsDisjoint safe integer allocations, not overlapping dietary attributes.Required. Array of safe integer; maximum items 256.

Limitations and assumptions

  • Negative remainders are retained and unsafe outputs rejected; allocations must not double count and no dietary suitability, allergy protection or actual meals are established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile actual reservations, layouts, service preferences, invoices and inventories for operational questions. Apply the full menu, tax and dietary requirements when local counts, buffers or pricing terms cannot establish availability or suitability.
