Description
Calculate open and unopened beverage stock after openings and consumption.
Hospitality records distinguish seating count, booking category, reset time, package prices and stock flows. A tax fraction based on net differs from a tax share of gross, and a seat count does not prove a usable layout. Supplies, service preferences and dietary allocations need verified operational records.
Calculate open and unopened beverage stock after openings and consumption.
When to use this tool
Use Event Beverage Open Unopened Balance when you already have openingOpen, openingUnopened, newlyOpened, consumed and need to calculate open and unopened beverage stock after openings and consumption.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter openingOpen, openingUnopened, newlyOpened, consumed. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read remainingOpen, remainingUnopened. Use the output convention below.
Require nonnegative safe whole counts and newlyOpened<=openingUnopened; open=openingOpen+newlyOpened-consumed using BigInt, unopened=openingUnopened-newlyOpened.1

} Limitations and assumptions
- Negative open stock is retained and unsafe counts rejected; product identity, actual stock, food safety and suitable service are not assessed.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Reconcile actual reservations, layouts, service preferences, invoices and inventories for operational questions. Apply the full menu, tax and dietary requirements when local counts, buffers or pricing terms cannot establish availability or suitability.
