In Arch Arc Placement Angle Solver
Endpoint-inclusive ideal arc charge angles; a full turn duplicates endpoint positions, explicitly not a distinct circle inventory.
Description
Charges arranged on an arc can be assigned evenly spaced angular positions.
Charges arranged on an arc can be assigned evenly spaced angular positions.1
Endpoints and the chosen span determine spacing before any radius or drawing is supplied.
When to use In Arch Arc Placement Angle Solver
Use this tool to calculate or review the supplied observations under the stated rules. Establish the source tradition, viewing frame, coordinate units and independently annotated features.
How to use In Arch Arc Placement Angle Solver and understand its results
- Establish the source tradition, viewing frame, coordinate units and independently annotated features.
- Enter chargeCount, startAngleDegrees, arcSpanDegrees, using the field meanings and rules below, then run the tool.
- Read result.placementAngles, using the output meanings and calculation rules below.
- Correct any reported input issue and run again. Before using a successful result, check the stated units, signs, reference scope and observation coverage.
| Input field | Meaning | Value type | Requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| chargeCount | Charge count | number | Required |
| startAngleDegrees | Start angle degrees | number | Required |
| arcSpanDegrees | Arc span degrees | number | Required |
Use integer charge count 2..64, finite start angle and arc span in [0,360] degrees. Return count angles starting at the start angle and ending at start+span, equally spaced by span/(count−1). Do not normalize angles modulo a full turn.
angle_i=startAngle+i×span/(count−1), i=0..count−1 Use the matching field units and the exact boundary, ordering and reference rules above.

} Limitations and assumptions
A zero span places all angles together, while a full-turn span duplicates the physical endpoint direction. No radius, position, collision spacing or clipping is calculated.
Missing required fields, unknown fields, wrong types and violated rules return input issues. Numeric values and outputs must be finite. Extremely large composite outputs are rejected.
Alternative or Complementary methods
For a related step, use Gyronny Eight-Section Angular Divider: An eight-part gyronny angular construction uses eight successive sectors around a common center. For a complementary comparison, use Two-and-One Charge Stack Position Calculator: A two-over-one arrangement places two charges above a single lower charge.
