Clotting Signal Baseline Offset Tool

Compare supplied nonclinical assay signals without inferring a clotting time or diagnosis.

Description

Subtract baseline from signal and then referenceCorrected for residual.

Analyzer signals and research counts can require background correction and reference comparisons. A signed residual can describe the data without identifying its cause or establishing a valid clinical measurement.

Subtract baseline from signal and then referenceCorrected for residual.

When to use this tool

Use Clotting Signal Baseline Offset when you need one explicit analyzer signal or reference component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter signal, baseline, referenceCorrected. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read corrected, residual. Use the output convention below.

Limitations and assumptions

  • All signals share one scale; signed results are retained without fitting, uncertainty estimation, coagulation interpretation, or a diagnostic threshold.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Review calibration, controls, exposure basis, uncertainty, and the complete laboratory interpretation.
