Pelvic Image Support Share Tool

Calculate pelvic image support share from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Sum visible area and the visible subset with both support flags, returning their ratio or zero with defined false.

Research image measurements depend on scale, orientation, landmarks, and reference planes. A coordinate or area-support calculation uses supplied inputs without examining an image or identifying anatomy.

Sum visible area and the visible subset with both support flags, returning their ratio or zero with defined false.

When to use this tool

Use Pelvic Image Support Share when you need one transparent image-scale or orientation component.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter regionAreas, regionVisible, scalePresent, sourceMatched. Keep parallel arrays aligned. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read visibleArea, supportedVisibleArea, share, defined. Inspect defined before interpreting the associated values.

Require aligned nonnegative regionAreas and visibility, scale, and source flags. Sum visible area and the visible subset with both support flags, returning their ratio or zero with defined false.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • The share is area weighted and flags are supplied; it does not analyze an image, verify calibration, identify anatomy, or establish diagnostic adequacy.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Verify image calibration, anatomical reference conventions, measurement uncertainty, and professional interpretation separately.
