GMP Quarantine Status Quantity Balance Tool

Calculate gmp quarantine status quantity balance from explicit caller-supplied inputs.

Description

Validate nonnegative counts and released+rejected+sampled within received.

Manufacturing balances compare recorded quantities on a common material basis. Yield, potency, moisture, and disposition counts answer different questions; a consistent calculation does not by itself authorize a product or establish manufacturing compliance.

Validate nonnegative counts and released+rejected+sampled within received.

When to use this tool

Use GMP Quarantine Status Quantity Balance when you need an explicit manufacturing quantity reconciliation or supplied-factor adjustment.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter received, released, rejected, sampled, pending. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read quarantined, accounted, discrepancy. Use the output convention below.

Validate nonnegative counts and released+rejected+sampled within received. Return quarantined as the remainder before pending, accounted including pending, and received-accounted discrepancy.1

Limitations and assumptions

  • Pending is a separate comparison term rather than an additional exclusion from quarantined; discrepancy may be negative and no release authority, disposition validity, or product quality is established.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Reconcile authenticated batch records and approved methods before interpreting the arithmetic. Product release, potency interpretation, and process suitability require the applicable quality procedures and responsible review.
