Description
Subtract all dispositions for unaccounted and return unused/issued and consumed/issued.
Manufacturing balances compare recorded quantities on a common material basis. Yield, potency, moisture, and disposition counts answer different questions; a consistent calculation does not by itself authorize a product or establish manufacturing compliance.
Subtract all dispositions for unaccounted and return unused/issued and consumed/issued.
When to use this tool
Use GMP Reconciliation Unused Issued Unit Share when you need an explicit manufacturing quantity reconciliation or supplied-factor adjustment.
How to use the tool and how it works
- Enter issued, consumed, unused, damaged. Use the units and conventions below.
- Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
- Read unaccounted, unusedFraction, consumedFraction. Use the output convention below.
Require positive issued and nonnegative consumed, unused, and damaged counts. Subtract all dispositions for unaccounted and return unused/issued and consumed/issued.1
| Input field | Meaning and units | Accepted input |
|---|---|---|
| issued | Issued | Required. Safe integer; minimum 1. |
| consumed | Consumed | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| unused | Unused | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| damaged | Damaged | Required. Safe integer; minimum 0. |
| Output field | Interpretation | Returned shape |
|---|---|---|
| unaccounted | Unaccounted | Required. Safe integer. |
| unusedFraction | Unused Fraction | Required. Finite number. |
| consumedFraction | Consumed Fraction | Required. Finite number. |

} Limitations and assumptions
- Totals may exceed issued, producing negative unaccounted or shares above one; this exposes supplied inconsistencies without deciding batch acceptance or GMP compliance.
- Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
- Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.
Alternative or Complementary methods
Reconcile authenticated batch records and approved methods before interpreting the arithmetic. Product release, potency interpretation, and process suitability require the applicable quality procedures and responsible review.
