Study Phase Archive Delay Tool

Compare supplied study/archive timestamps without selecting retention or GLP requirements.

Description

Subtract suppliedClockOffset from archivedTime, compare with phaseEnd, and return corrected archive minus phase-end delay and archivedBeforeEnd.

Laboratory intervals can describe expiry, retention, sample return, or correction timing. Exact dates and uncertain date ranges have different boundary meanings; numeric interval arithmetic does not establish a regulatory retention or expiry policy.

Subtract suppliedClockOffset from archivedTime, compare with phaseEnd, and return corrected archive minus phase-end delay and archivedBeforeEnd.

When to use this tool

Use Study Phase Archive Delay when you need a laboratory duration or interval comparison under an explicit timing rule.

How to use the tool and how it works

  1. Enter phaseEnd, archivedTime, suppliedClockOffset. Use the units and conventions below.
  2. Run the tool. Correct any format, range, or cross-field input error before interpreting the output.
  3. Read delay, archivedBeforeEnd. Inspect archivedBeforeEnd before interpreting the associated values.

phaseEndPhase EndRequired. Finite number.

Limitations and assumptions

  • The offset is recorded-minus-reference and times share units; no actual archive event, clock synchronization, required retention period, or compliance is verified.
  • Inputs must satisfy both the field types and the cross-field conditions above. Invalid input causes an error; a successful false flag or documented placeholder is a different result.
  • Numeric calculations use binary floating point unless exact decimal-integer arithmetic is explicitly stated. No hidden measurement tolerance or decimal rounding is added; nonfinite or out-of-contract results are rejected. Numeric signed-zero results are exported as zero.

Alternative or Complementary methods

Consult the controlled study and retention procedures for the applicable time convention. Authenticate the source dates and resolve uncertain endpoints before making a disposition decision.
